🔹 1️⃣ Basic Tamil Sentence Structure (அடிப்படை தமிழ் வாக்கிய அமைப்பு)

Tamil follows the Subject-Object-Verb (SOV) pattern, unlike English, which follows Subject-Verb-Object (SVO).

🔹 2️⃣ Expanding Simple Sentences (வாக்கியங்களை விரிவாக்குதல்)

We can add more details like time, place, and manner to make our sentences richer.

📌 Example 1: Adding Time and Place

🔹 Basic Sentence:
“I eat mango.” → நான் மாம்பழம் சாப்பிடுகிறேன்.

🔹 Expanded Sentence:
“I eat mango in the morning at home.”
→ நான் காலை முழுவதும் வீட்டில் மாம்பழம் சாப்பிடுகிறேன்.
(Nāṉ kālai muḻuvathum vīṭṭil māmpaḻam sāppiṭukiṟēṉ.)

📌 Example 2: Adding More Details

🔹 Basic Sentence:
“She reads a book.” → அவள் ஒரு புத்தகம் படிக்கிறாள்.

🔹 Expanded Sentence:
“She reads a big Tamil book slowly in the library.”
→ அவள் பெரிய தமிழ் புத்தகத்தை மெதுவாக நூலகத்தில் படிக்கிறாள்.
(Avaḷ periya Tamil putthagaththai methuvāka nūlakaththil paṭikkiṟāḷ.)

📌 Example 3: Adding Multiple Descriptions

🔹 Basic Sentence:
“He speaks Tamil.” → அவன் தமிழ் பேசுகிறான்.

🔹 Expanded Sentence:
“He speaks Tamil fluently with his friends at school.”
→ அவன் பள்ளியில் நண்பர்களுடன் தளர்வாக தமிழ் பேசுகிறான்.
(Avaṉ paḷḷiyil naṇparkaḷuḷaṉ thaḷarvāka Tamil pēcuḳiṟāṉ.)

🔹 3️⃣ Different Types of Tamil Sentences (வாக்கிய வகைகள்)

Tamil has different types of sentences based on function:

📌 1. Declarative Sentences (பொது வாக்கியங்கள்)

These sentences give information or state a fact.

✅ Example 1:
“Chennai is a big city.”
→ சென்னை ஒரு பெரிய நகரம். (Ceṉṉai oru periya nakaram.)

✅ Example 2:
“My mother cooks delicious food.”
→ என் அம்மா சுவையான உணவு சமைக்கிறார். (Eṉ ammā cuvaiyāṉa uṇavu camaikkiṟāḷ.)

📌 2. Interrogative Sentences (கேள்வி வாக்கியங்கள்)

These sentences ask a question.

✅ Examples:
🔹 “Where do you live?”
→ நீங்கள் எங்கு வசிக்கிறீர்கள்? (Nīṅkaḷ eṅku vacikkiṟīrkaḷ?)

🔹 “What are you doing?”
→ நீ என்ன செய்கிறாய்? (Nī eṉṉa ceykiṟāy?)

🔹 “When is the train arriving?”
→ ரயில் எப்போது வருகிறது? (Rayil eppōthu varukiṟathu?)

📌 3. Imperative Sentences (ஆணை வாக்கியங்கள்)

These sentences give commands, requests, or suggestions.

✅ Examples:
🔹 “Come here!”
→ இங்கே வாருங்கள்! (Iṅkē vāruṅkaḷ!)

🔹 “Please help me.”
→ தயவுசெய்து எனக்கு உதவுங்கள். (Tayavu ceythu eṉakku utavuṅkaḷ.)

🔹 “Do not touch this.”
→ இதை தொடாதீர்கள். (Idhai toṭāthīrkaḷ.)

📌 4. Exclamatory Sentences (வியப்பு வாக்கியங்கள்)

These sentences express strong emotions.

✅ Examples:
🔹 “What a beautiful place!”
→ எவ்வளவு அழகான இடம்! (Evvazavu azhakāṉa iṭam!)

🔹 “How fast he runs!”
→ அவன் எவ்வளவு வேகமாக ஓடுகிறான்! (Avaṉ evvaḷavu vēkamāka ōṭukiṟāṉ!)

🔹 4️⃣ Complex Tamil Sentences (சிக்கலான வாக்கியங்கள்)

Once you are comfortable with basic sentences, you can form longer, more complex Tamil sentences.

📌 Example 1: Using ‘Because’ (ஏனெனில்)

🔹 “I didn’t go outside because it was raining.”
→ மழை பெய்ததால், நான் வெளியே செல்லவில்லை.
(Mazhai peythathāl, nāṉ veḷiyē cellavillai.)

📌 Example 2: Using ‘If’ (என்றால்)

🔹 “If you study well, you will pass the exam.”
→ நீ நன்றாக படித்தால், தேர்வில் வெற்றி பெறுவாய்.
(Nī naṉṟāka paṭiththāl, thērvil veṟṟi peṟuvāy.)

📌 Example 3: Using ‘While’ (போது)

🔹 “I listened to music while working.”
→ நான் வேலை செய்யும்போது, இசை கேட்டேன்.
(Nāṉ vēlai ceyyumpōthu, isai kēṭṭēṉ.)
