வணக்கம்! (Vaṇakkam!) Welcome to Lesson 2! In this lesson, you will learn how to introduce yourself, form simple Tamil sentences, and ask basic questions.
🔹 1️⃣ Tamil Sentence Structure (வாக்கிய கட்டமைப்பு)
Tamil follows a Subject-Object-Verb (SOV) structure, unlike English, which is Subject-Verb-Object (SVO).
🔹 English: I eat fruit. (SVO)
🔹 தமிழ்: நான் பழம் சாப்பிடுகிறேன். (SOV)
(நான் = I, பழம் = fruit, சாப்பிடுகிறேன் = eat)
🔹 2️⃣ Introducing Yourself (தன்னை அறிமுகம் செய்துகொள்வது)
Let’s start with simple introductions.

🔹 3️⃣ Asking Basic Questions (அடிப்படை கேள்விகள்)
In Tamil, questions are often formed by adding “ஆ?” at the end of a sentence.

🔹 I like Tamil.
→ நான் தமிழ் விரும்புகிறேன். (Nāṉ Tamiḻ virumpukiṟēṉ.)
🔹 She is reading a book.
→ அவள் புத்தகம் படிக்கிறாள். (Avaḷ puttakam paṭikkiṟāḷ.)
🔹 We are going to the market.
→ நாம் சந்தைக்கு செல்கிறோம். (Nām cantaiyku celkiṟōm.)
🔹 They are playing.
→ அவர்கள் விளையாடுகிறார்கள். (Avarkaḷ viḷaiyāṭukiṟārkaḷ.)
